Terms of Service

masst.ai lets you store personal context ("strands") and share it, on your terms, with AI tools and people you choose. The service is provided as-is while we build it out; features may change as it evolves.

• You're responsible for keeping your login and vault passphrase secure. Because sensitive fields are encrypted with a key we never hold, we cannot recover them if you lose your passphrase and recovery key.
• You must be able to form a binding contract to use masst.ai, and provide accurate account information.
• You're responsible for activity under your account and per-device API keys.

You own the context you add. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store it and deliver it to the AIs, links, and integrations you authorize — nothing more. You're responsible for what you store and share, and for having the right to share it.

You agree not to:

• Store or share content that's unlawful, infringing, or that you don't have the right to use.
• Attempt to breach the encryption, access other users' data, or disrupt the service.
• Abuse the API or integrations, or use masst.ai to harm others.

When you connect an integration or upload a file, you authorize masst.ai to read the data needed to propose fields for your strands. Third-party services (e.g. Google, GitHub) are governed by their own terms. We're not responsible for third-party services.

We aim for reliable service but don't guarantee uninterrupted availability while in active development. We may update, suspend, or change features, and will make reasonable effort to notify you of material changes to these terms.

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, masst.ai is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data arising from your use of the service — including sensitive data that cannot be recovered without your passphrase.

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination, your data is removed as described in our Privacy Policy.
